For a classic beach day, the strongest combination is usually Malcapuya Island, Banana Island and Bulog Dos — often sold together as a Coron Island Escapade or beach-escapade tour.
Other worthwhile options include Ditaytayan Island, Pass Island, CYC Beach and several smaller beaches around Coron Island itself. They differ less in quality than in what they're for: a dedicated beach day, a sandbar photograph, a snorkelling stop, or a swim break in the middle of a lakes-and-lagoons itinerary.

1. Malcapuya Island — best overall beach in Coron
If your image of the Philippines involves powdery white sand and transparent turquoise water, Malcapuya is probably the Coron beach you are looking for. It lies farther from Coron Town than the famous lakes and lagoons, which is why it normally appears on a separate Island Escapade itinerary rather than the standard Coron Island tour. The main beach is broad and pale, with clear shallow water that makes it particularly appealing for swimming, and compared with attractions such as Kayangan Lake the experience is much more relaxed — you can swim, snorkel, walk along the sand, relax and spend longer simply doing nothing. Is it good for snorkelling? Yes; some itineraries include time for snorkelling as well as beach swimming. Is it worth it? Yes — especially if beaches are one of your priorities in Coron. 2. Banana Island — best for a relaxed tropical-island stop
Banana Island is another regular stop on Coron's Island Escapade tours. Expect white sand, palm trees, clear water, swimming, snorkelling and places to relax. Don't confuse it with other places called Banana Island around the world — when searching or booking, use Banana Island Coron or Banana Island Palawan. Malcapuya vs Banana Island: for the beach, Malcapuya; for relaxing, Banana Island; for photography, Malcapuya; for a leisurely lunch stop, Banana Island. But there is little reason to choose between them, because they are commonly visited on the same tour.
3. Bulog Dos — best sandbar near Coron
Bulog Dos is smaller than Malcapuya and Banana Island but arguably more photogenic. Its signature feature is a narrow stretch of pale sand surrounded by shallow turquoise water, and the exact appearance changes with the tide — which is why two photographs of the same sandbar can look like different places. What you do there: walk along the sand, swim, take photographs, enjoy the shallow water, and admire the surrounding islands. Is it worth it? Yes, as part of an Island Escapade — not as a destination you'd cross the bay for on its own.
4. Ditaytayan Island — best alternative sandbar
Ditaytayan Island is another beautiful outer-island stop, known for a long white sandbar and remarkably clear water.
